Many people outside Holland have not heard the name Julius Röntgen but he composed over 600 works during his lifetime (1855-1932). Mark Anderson has met with the descendants of the composer (August 2013) and researched Röntgen scores (many of which are out of print or unpublished, still in manuscript) at the Netherlands Music Institute in The Hague, Netherlands.

The first CD of these works will be recorded at Nimbus Foundation Concert Hall in May 2014.

For more information about Röntgen, his life and his work, read up on him at the Wikipedia entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Röntgen or visit a website dedicated to his work and managed by his namesake in Holland Julius Röntgen. http://www.juliusrontgen.info

Stay tuned for more news regarding this exciting project.
